10-Week In-Person Detroit Half Marathon Training Program Powered by On
With Fleet Feet’s Half Marathon Training Program Powered by On, you’ll find a holistic training plan to help you cross the finish line feeling empowered. The training program will include education on training techniques and tools in order to help you further enjoy running and improve your performance. Along the way we will provide you with motivation, weekly group runs, as well as clinics on nutrition, how not to get injured, and more. And the best part is you’ll get to train alongside like-minded people just like you!
This 10 week training program is intended for someone who has previous running experience to a 10K distance but is looking to tackle the half marathon distance at the Detroit Free Press Marathon on October 20th for the first time. Or, someone who has perhaps completed the half marathon distance in the past but is looking to enhance their training and incorporate hill and speed work with the intention of attaining a PR. You will run 4-5 times per week in increasing intervals, reaching a distance of 12 before race day and a peak weekly mileage of 31 miles. The program assumes a base starting point of 5 miles.

Program Includes:
- 10 weeks of daily training with our expert coaches
- In-person support for accountability, camaraderie and fun with 3 x in person meet ups per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) for the first 6 weeks, 1 x in person meet ups per week (Saturday) for the last 4 weeks

Our training program is designed to further runners towards their fitness and running goals at the half marathon distance. It will include education on training techniques and tools in order to help you further enjoy running and improve your performance. Along the way we will provide you with tips on nutrition, how to properly warm up, motivation and more. And with the virtual option you’ll have the flexibility to get your training in on your own time!
